Privacy policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information OsmicSoft collects when you use OsmicTrade and our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

OsmicTrade is provided by OsmicSoft (“we”, “us”). For your own account — your name, email and sign-in details — we decide how that information is used. For the records a business keeps in OsmicTrade — its customers, suppliers, workers and transactions — the business decides what to record and why, and we store and process those records on its behalf.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
  • Business details: business name, address, contact numbers and tax registration numbers (NTN/STRN) that you enter.
  • Records you enter: customers, suppliers, workers (including CNIC numbers where you choose to record them), products, stock, invoices, payments, expenses and the documents made from them.
  • Security information: sign-in times, IP addresses and the type of browser and device used, active sessions and an audit log of important changes.
  • Billing information: your subscription, invoices and payment status. Card details are entered into Stripe’s card form (on our checkout page) or on Stripe’s pages, and held by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.

How we use it

  • To provide OsmicTrade: to run your business account and show your records to the people you give access to.
  • To keep accounts secure: for example to email you when your account signs in from a new device, and to detect abuse.
  • To bill your subscription and send billing notices.
  • To send service emails — verification, password resets, invitations and security alerts — and, only if you keep it switched on, the evening summary. Every summary email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions and improve OsmicTrade.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need to run OsmicTrade, under contracts that limit them to that purpose:

  • our hosting and database providers, where the service and its backups run;
  • our email delivery provider, to send the emails described above;
  • Stripe, to take subscription payments;
  • an error-monitoring service, to be told when something breaks (set up so that it does not receive personal information).

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and our service.

How long we keep it

  • Account and business records are kept while the business uses OsmicTrade, including while it is read-only after a subscription ends.
  • When an owner asks us to delete a business, we delete its records, except anything we must keep by law. Backups containing it expire in line with our backup schedule.
  • Security records such as sessions are kept only as long as they are useful for keeping accounts safe.

How we protect it

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Each business is separated from every other, access is by role, and sensitive details such as CNIC and bank account numbers are encrypted in our database. We keep regular backups.

Your choices and rights

  • You can see and correct your account details in OsmicTrade, and sign out other devices at any time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it.
  • If a business keeps records about you — for example as its customer or worker — please contact that business first; we will help it respond.
  • You can turn optional emails off in your account settings, and change cookie choices on our website.

Cookies

We only use cookies that OsmicTrade needs to work. See our cookie policy.

Children

OsmicTrade is a business service for adults and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes we will tell account owners by email or in OsmicTrade before they take effect.
